Created by master craftsman Jonathan Locke, the collection showcases finely crafted cabinetry, furniture, and architectural veneers that reveal the extraordinary beauty hidden within wood itself. Rich grain, subtle figure, colour variation, and carefully composed veneer patterns become the primary design language, demonstrating how surfaces can tell the story of a forest.

While the exhibition pieces are not yet manufactured using Guyanese hardwood veneers, they represent a clear vision of what could soon become possible. With continued investment in veneer production, advanced woodworking, and design training, Guyana's remarkable native timber species could support an entirely new generation of high-value furniture and interior products. The Native Grain Collection is therefore both a furniture collection and a design proposition—an invitation to imagine the next chapter of Guyanese manufacturing.
